A ginger treat for all to enjoy.


  • 1 c. cake flour, sifted
  • 23 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ c. Original Molasses
  • ½ c. butter or margarine


  1. Heat oven to 300F.
  2. Sift together first four ingredients.
  3. Heat molasses just to boiling point in saucepan large enough for mixing cookies. Add butter or margarine; stir until melted.
  4. Stir in flour mixture. Mix well.
  5. Drop 1/2 teaspoon of dough at a time onto greased baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake 15 to 18 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven. Cool 2 minutes.
  7. Carefully slip spatula underneath wafer to remove from pan. Quickly roll over handle of wooden spoon.


If wafers become brittle before they are shaped, place in oven a minute to reheat. Then remove from pan.
