Mom’s Ginger Cookies

Soft & chewy ginger cookies that will have everyone asking for more. Recipe courtesy of Sue Hoagland

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup Grandma's® Original Molasses
  • 3/4 cup sour cream (add milk to fill to 1 cup)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon

Directions

In a large bowl, whip together wet ingredients. Mix in dry ingredients. Mix together well & refrigerate over night. Roll out on floured area & cut out. Sprinkle sugar on top. Bake 350F for 15 minutes.
